From Florida Travel + Life Magazine: Writer Susan Friedman's account of a trip down the Wakulla with The Wilderness Way

From the New York Times - Featuring the Wacissa River - Slave Canal run: Looking to get far from the paddling crowds? We consulted kayaking experts around the country, and came up with seven less-trafficked places to hit the water this spring and summer. One of them is sure to float your boat.  Seven Rivers Less Paddled

Directions to The Wilderness Way

From Tallahassee area, head 12 Minutes South of Capital Circle on Woodville Highway

Turn RIGHT at Hwy 267 light (by Savannahs Restaurant) then first (quick) LEFT onto Shadeville Rd.

The Wilderness Way carries the largest selection of kayaks in the Big Bend.  Feel free to click on the links below to find out more about the fine kayaks and canoes from The Wilderness Way.  However, there's no comparison to seeing the real thing.  Stop by the shop and let one of our knowledgeable, experienced paddlers help you choose the best boat for your adventures.
